THREE. WEEKS.

I just realized that I forgot to tell you about my 3-week post-residency break. Well, it was glorious! Three weeks off from work! THREE. WHOLE. WEEKS. The first week was spent just relaxing at home. My days went something like this: wake up to no alarm, run, take my time getting ready, meet Brian for lunch, take the dogs to the park, run a few errands (but not too many in one day), read a pleasure book (defined as a book that has absolutely NOTHING to do with pharmacy and is read purely for pleasure), cook dinner hang out with Brian while he cooks dinner, then relax before bed. I will admit, at first, it was a bit hard to just relax, not make 5 lists each day, and not be so productive that my head would spin, but I had to change my ways for just 3 weeks because I knew I needed this break. Boy, am I glad I did?!

During my second week, my mom and I went to Ft. Lauderdale. We had the BEST time. I loved being able to hang out with her one-on-one and really enjoyed having her all to myself. I can't remember a time when we were able to spend time together as just the two of us. It was fabulous! We spent each day reading at the pool/beach and ate yummy food for dinner each night. We even made time in our busy schedules (read, not busy at all) to get massages! That's my kind of vacation!

The third week mirrored the first week, and I slowly prepared myself for reality. I'm so thankful that I was able to have a break. I milked it for all it was worth and enjoyed every second, but I was thankful to get back to work and into a routine. I'll catch you up on my job soon!
