Yes, I may be behind the times, but it has been hard to read an actual "pleasure book" over the past year. Most All of my reading during my first year of residency has consisted of medical journals and guidelines. As I start my 2nd year, my goal is to make time to read for fun, hence the term "pleasure book." No, no, it's not a dirty book. One of my friends coined this term in reference to "any book in which the plot does not have ANYTHING to do with the medical field." Pure genius. Oh, and some of these books are also now movies. Don't worry-I will not watch the movie until I read the book, or I may not even watch the movie at all. Movies usually ruin books for me.
