Dear Charleston,

Why must you torture me? It’s like a slap in the face. You continue to bring awesome things to town that I would have enjoyed while I was there.

As soon as I leave town, you welcome Southwest Airlines to your airport. I mean, that would have been convenient the 8 years that I was there. Then, you open a Trader Joe’s. As if that weren’t enough, you have just announced that Anthropologie will be opening on King Street in October. Oh, and Lululemon. SERIOUSLY?! Kudos, though, for closing Abercrombie & Fitch to make room for Anthro. The shops on King Street thank you, along with everyone else in a 7 mile radius, for finally getting rid of that awful cologne smell that lingers all over town.

I can't wait to see you again. I miss you so.

PS-what’s up with putting the Forever 21 in the beautiful Historic Saks building? I have nothing against Forever 21, but, come on. We all know that its place is on the other end of King St. It would be perfect right beside Urban Outfitters, NOT in the antique district. MAJOR FAIL.
