I am speechless.
I honestly don't have a lot to say right now, so I'll tell you what I've been doing.
- Research, research, and more research. This is the main reason for my hiatus. Each resident is required to complete a research project that usually takes all year. We have to present it at the Southeastern Residency Conference at the end of April, so this has been a very busy time for all of us. I am also presenting mine at the Hematology and Oncology Pharmacists' Association's (HOPA) Annual Meeting NEXT WEEK, so I have had to really buckle down lately. As of today, IT. IS. FINISHED. Did I mention that the meeting is in Salt Lake City, Utah?! Perhaps I'll squeeze in some skiing, as it would just be ungodly to go there and not get to ski (SLC is my absolute favorite place to ski). Brian is coming, too, but he will be snowboarding while I'm in meetings!
- CCU (the cardiac ICU). I am on this rotation and the early mornings are killing me. I just can't drink enough coffee, and I have permanent dark circles under my eyes. Oh, and just because I get to work before the sun even starts to think about coming up, that does NOT mean that I get to leave 8 hours later. Nope, it just doesn't work like that.
- MARCH MADNESS! Did you fill out your bracket yet? I picked UCONN to win it all. They're pretty hot right now. You never know what could happen! I love the upsets. That's why they call it MADNESS!!!
- Dreaming about Spring. I am sooo ready for warm weather. I can't wait to start running outside and riding my bike again. I am mostly excited about getting off work when it's still daylight (hopefully) and having time to do these things.
- Celebrating. We have GREAT news....BRIAN'S PREGNANT! I kid. BRIAN GOT A JOB!!! This is such an answered prayer. He gave up a great job to move here for me, and it has been a long road. He has been so patient, and the perfect job finally came along. He's going to be a credit analyst at BB&T. I am so proud of him!
- disclaimer: he told me that I'm never allowed to blog about him, so I had to get special permission. He approves this message.
That's about all I have right now. We live pretty boring lives.
Congrats to Brian!!
